The Friends of St Francis Katete Charitable Trust is a UK based charity that supports St Francis Hospital in Katete, Zambia. The hospital, founded in 1948, is a second level referral hospital with 450 beds and is the largest church run hospital in Zambia.

The artist is Anne Cairns whose husband, David Cairns (a surgeon), worked at St Francis Hospital in the 1960s. David passed away in 2017 and was James Cairns' younger brother. James Cairns was the Medical Superintendent at the hospital from 1958 to 1996.

The proceeds from the sale of this card will go towards caring for the sick and needy at St Francis Hospital in Katete, Zambia.
